Reflection

This course was beneficial to me because in most of the areas I was forced to learn new skills and gain more knowledge.

At the beginning of the course I was a bit sceptical as to what my capabilities are because the course was fairly new to me. However, my eagerness to learn began to increase after my first assignment because it was my first experience with excel of which I had to create a worksheet.

Indeed I have learned new tools such as worksheet using Excel, database using Access and Power Point and Word are tools that I was already familiar with, however this course has aided me to improve my creativity.

My biggest accomplishment and exciting moment was when I was tasked with creating my own blog.  And my most challenging moments were

·         When I had to create a database and worksheet and that was because I had no experience using Excel and Access

·         When two assignments and forum works were due the same date.

HIPPA privacy rule, Protected Health Information (PHI), HIS regulations, telehealth, and HITECH act are some of the topics that were new and interesting to me.

Because of this course my thinking and practices are beginning to change. For example, I’m more mindful of the way I used social media because of the knowledge I have that something that exist on a server is there forever.
